WHAT TO EXPECT: YOUR FIRST VISIT
Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church! We are so excited you would like to join us for worship. Visiting a new church can be challenging and difficult so we would like to make your visit as welcoming as possible. Here are answers to some frequently asked questions. We look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.

WHAT TIME IS WORSHIP ON SUNDAY MORNING?
Worship comes in many forms and styles. At CBC, we offer a more traditional style of worship and meets in the sanctuary at 10:45 am. The music in this service sometimes includes piano, trumpet, violin, flute, saxophone, baritone, and a choir.
In addition to Sunday worship services, we offer a variety of Sunday Bible Study classes throughout the church building. These classes vary in age and focus. Each Sunday we have greeters stationed at each of our entrances. These greeters will be happy to help you and your family members choose a class and then give you directions to the classroom where your class meets. All ages meet for Sunday school in the sanctuary at 9:45a.m. and separate into different classrooms at 9:55a.m.

I AM A VISITOR. WHERE DO I PARK?
We are delighted you are visiting our church. We have a paved parking lot which includes a handicap parking space near the front right of the lot.

WHAT DOORS DO I ENTER IF I’M VISITING?
When you arrive at Calvary Baptist Church, we have greeters stationed at the front of the sanctuary waiting to assist our visitors and members prior to our worship service at 10:00a.m.
• The front entrance on Marley Station Road will allow you to enter our sanctuary. From the parking lot- follow the sidewalk to the right and this will lead you to our main entrance.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. No matter what you wear, we will accept you for who you are. On any given Sunday or Wednesday you will find people wearing anything from jeans and shorts to suits and dresses.

HOW LONG ARE YOUR WORSHIP SERVICES?
The early worship service lasts for about one hour. Our Wednesday night service lasts for about one hour.

WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO DURING WORSHIP?
Children are a big part of our church and we are glad you want them to experience CBC. We offer a nurturing atmosphere for children of all ages, from birth to 6th grade.
Infants to Preschool: We offer a place for children to learn and grow in their faith during the worship services. The children’s area is easily accessible by entering the east entrance facing the parking lot. You will find it by going straight to the rear and to your left.
1st-6th Grades: We consider that worship is vital to the growing faith of our children. Children who are in this age range are invited to attend worship with their parents. After approximately fifteen minutes of traditional worship they will be dismissed to Children’s church. We also welcome them to stay with their parents!

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH?
CBC receives members in different ways including a profession of faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior and by requesting baptism, by transfer of membership from another church, by statement of a previous conversion experience and baptism. To find more information about membership, please speak to our church staff.
